1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the SHEQ24 platform and website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SHEQ24 (Pty) Ltd, registered in South Africa.
2. Description of Service
SHEQ24 provides a cloud-based compliance management software platform designed for South African businesses. The platform assists organisations in managing their obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, National Environmental Management Act, ISO management system standards, and related legislation. SHEQ24 is a software tool and does not constitute legal advice.
3. User Obligations
You agree to:
- • Provide accurate and complete information when registering and using the Service
- • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
- • Use the Service in compliance with all applicable South African laws and regulations
- • Not use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
- • Comply with POPIA when processing personal information through the platform
4. Data Ownership & Privacy
You retain full ownership of all data you input into the SHEQ24 platform. SHEQ24 acts as an operator of personal information as defined under POPIA. We process your data solely to provide the Service and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. All data is hosted within South African data centres.
5. Intellectual Property
The SHEQ24 platform, including its software, design, content, and documentation, is the intellectual property of SHEQ24 (Pty) Ltd and is protected by South African copyright law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without our express written consent.
6. Limitation of Liability
SHEQ24 provides the platform as a compliance management tool. We do not guarantee that use of the platform will ensure full legal compliance with all applicable legislation. Organisations remain responsible for their own compliance obligations. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, SHEQ24 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
